Salary: $21,260 - 28,260 per year Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in education, youth development, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of positive youth development methodologies.
- Experience coordinating programs or activities, preferably in a community or educational setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with youth, volunteers, and community partners.
- Proven ability to manage conflicts and provide resolutions according to policy.
- Familiarity with STEM education, workforce readiness, or community engagement best practices.
- Experience in community outreach, recruitment, and program expansion strategies.
- Proficient in using social media, educational software, and design tools like Canva for communication and promotional purposes.
- Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles in youth development programs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with UC ANR policies and procedures is a plus.
Responsibilities: - Oversee the daily implementation of the 4-H Youth Development Program activities in Colusa County.
- Collaborate with the 4-H Regional Program Coordinator to ensure compliance with program policies and procedures.
- Facilitate training and support for volunteers and community partners using authorized materials and curricula.
- Lead initiatives to recruit new participants for the 4-H programs and support the establishment of new clubs.
- Maintain updated knowledge of 4-H policies and effectively communicate changes to stakeholders.
- Manage conflict resolution efforts and ensure adherence to the 4-H Conflict Resolution Policy.
- Disseminate 4-H information through various communication platforms, including social media and newsletters.
- Serve as a communication bridge between 4-H and local schools, organizations, and community groups.
- Attend professional development events to enhance knowledge in intercultural communication and positive youth development.
- Oversee youth and volunteer enrollment processes, ensuring compliance with state policies.
- Assist in the preparation of annual reports and compliance documentation as required by the program.
