The Axel Group is partnering with a well-established General Contractor in Pinellas County, FL seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager with all phases of project execution from preconstruction through closeout
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure schedule and budget compliance
• Prepare, review, and track RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Support in developing project schedules and maintaining accurate documentation
• Collaborate with field supervision and project stakeholders to ensure safety and quality standards are met

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of experience as an APM or Project Engineer with a commercial GC
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Proficiency with project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
