Job Description

Clinical Research Nurse - Full-Time, Onsite

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Overview

Required Minimum Education:
  • Graduate from an approved School of Nursing - Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) - Preferred


Required License(s) & Certification(s):

  • Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN Multi-State Compact - Required
  • All certifications must be active upon hire


Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of RN experience - Required
  • Minimum 2 years of Clinical Research experience - Required

  • Previous experience within hospital-based or academic research environments
  • Familiarity with oncology, cardiology, or investigational drug trials

Core Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of patient participation in clinical trials using Good Clinical Practice (GCP) , FDA , and Institutional guidelines.
  • Screen and enroll eligible patients based on protocol criteria.
  • Collaborate with physicians and office staff to schedule and manage study-specific requirements.
  • Conduct patient visits and collect protocol-related data accurately and timely.
  • Administer investigational products and ensure proper chain-of-custody documentation.
  • Maintain detailed and compliant patient and study records.
  • Communicate effectively with research assistants, physicians, and sponsors to ensure timely documentation and data entry.
  • Prepare for monitoring visits, audits, and inspections; ensure all adverse events and deviations are reported per guidelines.
  • Maintain current and accurate regulatory documentation, including IRB-approved consent forms and protocol amendments.
  • Complete all study-related and institutional training, including Human Research Participant Protection and Hazardous Material certifications.
  • Support departmental functions, including attending meetings, assisting with billing and regulatory activities, and contributing to special projects as assigned.
