Job Summary:

Position Title: Computer Support Specialists

Location: Albany, NY 12206

Duration: 2 Years

Work Schedule: M-F (9:00 am - 5:00 pm)

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Provide analysis of data and create as well as maintain data dictionaries.
• Run and maintain data pipeline processes.
• Map existing databases and perform routine database maintenance as specifically directed.
• Provide various aspects of general computer support, provide training and support for Department of Health staff, providers and consumers.
• Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, and highly motivated individuals able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume office environment.
• The successful candidate should be willing and able to multitask and move from assignment to assignment as deadlines and priorities change.
• Knowledge of complex databases and how to learn new processes quickly and efficiently is a must.
• Must have good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external consumers.

To be considered for this position, you should have:

Minimum Qualifications :

• High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• 2 years minimum experience working in a professional IT based setting.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, SharePoint and Access).
• Ability to enter data into, and extract data from, electronic databases.
• Ability to work independently and on a team with different personalities and can handle multiple, shifting priorities.
• Good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with internal and external entities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Microsoft Office products.
• Experience creating and maintaining databases and mapping existing databases.
• Experience in SQL, Python, R or Tableau.
