GENERAL MANAGER

THE GUILD GARDEN, PLAINVILLE  (Plainville, MA) &  THE GUILD PVD  (Providence, RI)

Job Description:

Guild Brewing Company, the largest craft brewery in Rhode Island, is currently looking for a passionate and experienced  General Manager  with exceptional attention to detail and the desire for professional learning and growth. This individual has a unique opportunity and will be responsible for helping to open and operate two new locations as part of The Guild Brewing Company’s hospitality network. The Guild Garden at Plainville Square ( is a new seasonal beer and food garden in Plainville, Massachusetts in partnership with Jeff Kinney the famed author of a Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The projected opening is April 2026. The second location is The Guild PVD ( a year around beerhall, beer garden and coffee house based in District Park along the Providence River in downtown Providence. The projected opening is April/May 2026. The work will include planning the opening of both venues, hirings and training of all support staff (FOH and kitchen).

We are looking for an individual who will help create an engaging atmosphere for guests as well as team members. We are looking for a leader who is accountable, serious about their craft, and has a passion for success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  include the following:

· Assist in the development and opening of the new ventures

· Overseeing full operations including food and bar 

· Hiring and managing staff including assistant managers 

· Ordering

· Execution of “guest first” experience

· Excellent problem solving/trouble shooting ability

· Demonstrated ability to be successful in a collaborative team environment

· Financial reporting to Managing Partner and Finance Director

Requirements:

· 5+ years general manager experience including work in a high-volume full-service restaurant

· Ability to manage others in a dynamic work environment 

· Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume kitchen

· Proficient with computer systems including POS, excel, etc. 

Must be available to support 10-hour shift, nights, weekends and holiday schedules as required.

This General Manager’s position is full time salaried position with a competitive base pay plus comprehensive benefits including health & dental, vacation, holiday, and retirement plan with company match.
