Machine Operator - 13 month contract
Location: Holdrege, NE
Onsite
Shift: Multiple Night Shift roles available - either Monday thru Friday or Sunday thru Thursday
A few day shift roles available as well but limited availability. Hourly Pay Rate: $18-$21
Background Check and Drug Screen Required Position Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for maintaining product quality and production levels while working collaboratively as part of a team. Duties include equipment operation, product inspection, material handling, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. Operators must monitor machine functions and identify any irregularities. Compliance with company quality systems, policies, and safety regulations is essential.
Key Responsibilities: - Operate machinery and perform process functions wearing protective gear in some cases
- Conduct product inspections and process tests
- Package and visually inspect finished products
- Clean machines and work areas
- Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time
- Respond to and reset alarms as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members
- Contribute to continuous process improvement
- Maintain a clean, safe, and productive work environment
- Maintain equipment certifications
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
- Apply company standards and specifications to ensure product quality
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Shift Leader
Qualifications: Minimum:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Preferred:
- 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience with BD or the company
Additional Requirements:
- Must remain alert and focused in a high-speed manufacturing environment
- Regular and punctual attendance is required
