Marketing Specialist

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager to develop and implement a content strategy aligned with the company's goals and target audience. Conduct research to identify relevant topics, keywords, and audience preferences to guide content creation efforts.
  • Manage content calendars, schedules, and workflows to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content across various platforms.
  • Work with Marketing Manager to monitor content performance and analytics to optimize strategies for maximum reach, engagement, and conversion.
  • Curate and develop original and engaging content including blog posts, articles, website copy, social media posts, videos, infographics, and more, focusing on Alcorn Construction, our partners, and other content relevant to the industry.
  • Optimize content for search engines by incorporating relevant keywords, meta tags, and other SEO best practices to improve organic visibility and drive traffic to company website and other digital channels.
  • Maintain consistency in brand voice, tone, and messaging across all content channels to reinforce the company's values, identity, and brand image.
  • Research AEC industry trends, developments, and best practices in construction, architecture, engineering, and related fields to generate timely and relevant content ideas.
  • Work closely with team members across the company, in both Arizona and Colorado, to ensure alignment of content initiatives with overall marketing and business objectives.
  • Assist the Marketing Manager with other internal marketing activities for Alcorn, such as our employee newsletter, signage, surveys, events, vendor management, etc.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications or specifically related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading skills with attention to detail.
  • Creativity, adaptability, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A strong desire to learn and grow professionally.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with photography, graphic design, video production, or multimedia content creation.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools and platforms.
  • Certifications or training in SEO, content marketing, or related field.
  • Six months – one year of experience in a marketing support capacity. Construction industry experience helpful but not required.

In addition to the base salary, employees in this role will also be eligible to earn additional performance incentives.
