Duties The Vehicle Services Program (VSP) is seeking a Policy and Compliance Director to join their senior leadership team. Class Code & Classification Description H1R6XX POLICY ADVISOR VI Minimum Qualifications Experience Only: Nine (9) years of relevant experience in public policy; including legislative experience, policy creation, policy implementation; leading, developing, and implementing strategic plans for a policy or compliance department, navigating complex regulatory environments; designing and implementing new compliance functions within an agency or an occupation otherwise closely related to the work assigned to this position. OR Education and Experience: A combination of related education in Law, Political Science, Management, International Relations, and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position equal to nine (9) years. Preferred QualificationsEmployees are in a position of public trust in the performance of their job duties and must operate in a manner that maintains the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and public confidence.
As a condition of employment with the CDOR, all personnel must file all necessary Colorado Individual Income Tax (CIIT) returns and pay tax obligations, therefore all employees must undergo a pre-employment evaluation of their tax records/accounts to ensure compliance with this policy. Final candidates must also complete a successful background investigation and reference check prior to appointment. Certain positions based on duties may require scheduled background investigations.
