Akkodis is seeking a Supply Chain Manager for a contract position with a client in Mountain View, CA . This role will ensure seamless supply chain execution for next-generation hardware platforms.

Rate Range: $48.00/hour to $55.00/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Supply Chain Manager job responsibilities include:

• Lead sourcing strategies for electronic components, mechanical assemblies, and development hardware in alignment with program goals
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to support early-stage prototype and production requirements
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and supply agreements to optimize cost, quality, and delivery
• Manage supplier relationships and performance, ensuring compliance with quality, sustainability, and ethical standards
• Align with procurement, engineering, quality, and finance teams on cost targets, design changes, and build schedules
• Support make/buy decisions, supplier transitions, and long-term sourcing strategies in coordination with the global network
• Partner with engineering and program management to define material requirements and sourcing strategies from concept through SOP
• Ensure material availability for development builds, prototypes, and pilot production phases
• Mitigate supply risks through proactive component lifecycle management and alternate sourcing
• Collaborate with logistics and manufacturing to manage material lead times, inventory, and delivery schedules
• Manage supply chain data accuracy within PLM, ERP, and procurement systems
• Develop and track KPIs on cost, lead time, and supplier performance
• Drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes, documentation, and cross-functional workflows

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, or procurement within the electronics or hardware industry
• Experience managing hardware supply chains across global supplier networks
• Understanding of electronics manufacturing, mechanical sourcing, and BOM management
• Experience supporting product development lifecycles (concept to SOP)
• Experience with supplier management, cost optimization, and negotiation
• Skilled in cost breakdown analysis (should-cost modeling, total cost of ownership, value engineering)
• Knowledge of supply chain risk management, including mitigation for component obsolescence, lead time volatility, and geopolitical sourcing risks
