DDM Construction is currently looking for a highly motivated Project Superintendent to join our team.

As Project Superintendent you will be assigned to multiple Roadway and Underground Utility projects ranging up to $40 million in size in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

Responsibilities

• Read and analyze the contract documents to understand all scopes of work and create project execution plan with the Project Manager.
• Schedule and direct day to day on-site supervision of field labor forces on assigned project(s).
• Coordinate and schedule all self-perform trade resources and subcontractors.
• Review submittals, material/sub contracts. Understand the inclusions/exclusions of the contracts and setup pre-activity meetings.
• Inspection of Self-performed and subcontractor operations to ensure compliance with the contract documents.
• Track Pay Quantities, review and approve Subcontractor Payment Applications with Project Manager.
• Maintain good relationships with internal and external clients, including representatives of the Owner, Engineer, and Inspectors.
• Develop and maintain site(s) logistics plan, in coordination with Project Manager.
• Identify potential problems on the project(s) in advance to work starting so to not hinder production or schedule. Work with Project Manager to develop RFIs or change orders.
• Conduct quality inspections.
• Responsible for SWPPP compliance and job housekeeping.
• Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts with craft supervisors and subcontractors.
• Monitor and review job costs with the Project Manager, identify issues and determine solution for maintaining the project(s) budget.
• Communicate and enforce Safety and Health Management in compliance with OSHA standards and company policy.
• Responsible for Traffic Control and set up any special needs such as safety equipment, TCP, or any other items to protect workers and enable them to work in a safe environment. You are responsible for safety on your projects and making sure all personal including subcontractors are working within our safety requirements.
• Review project schedules and update with the Project Manager.
• Manage schedules, including preparation of detailing short-term (4-week) schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates.
• Meet with Trade Superintendents, Foreman, and Subcontractors regularly to go over safety, schedule, execution plan, and production goals
• Inform the Project Team and General Superintendent on any changes in schedule, equipment break downs, safety violation, or any other problems that might affect the well-being of the employees, project budget, production, or work quality of the project.
• Attend and participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings.
• Lead in workplans and pre-mobilization walk throughs with trade supervisors and subcontractors.

Experience:

• Paving: 5 years (Preferred)
• Underground Utilities: 5 years (Preferred)
• TXDOT Construction: 5 years (Preferred)
• Heavy Civil Construction: 7 years (Required)
• Grading/Excavation: 5 years (Preferred)
• Construction Management: 3 years (Required)
• Municipal Construction: 3 years (Required)
