About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our client in Pompano Beach. This role is crucial in helping us secure and deliver successful commercial glass projects throughout Florida. The ideal candidate will have deep market knowledge, a strong understanding of glass and aluminum systems, and a proven ability to produce detailed and accurate bids.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare comprehensive and competitive estimates.
• Prepare detailed take-offs for curtain wall, storefront, and custom glazing systems.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, general contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure accuracy in pricing and scope.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
• Manage multiple bids and proposals simultaneously, prioritizing effectively under tight deadlines.
• Track market pricing, labor costs, and material trends within the Florida glazing and façade industry.
• Present estimates and bid strategies confidently to company leadership and clients.
• Support handoff to project management once a project is awarded, ensuring a smooth transition from estimating to execution.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of estimating experience in commercial glazing, curtain wall, or storefront projects.
• Strong understanding of materials, fabrication methods, and installation processes.
• Proven experience estimating mid- to large-scale glazing projects within the Florida market .
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with vendors and clients.
• Proficiency with take-off and estimating software is a plus, but not required - your field and market experience matter most.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
