We are seeking a Senior IT Project Engineer specializing in high-end project engineering work. This role involves leading infrastructure projects, server migrations, SharePoint migrations, Azure configurations, and systems management while collaborating with clients to maintain, monitor, and optimize their IT environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Engineering: Lead the design, implementation, and management of complex infrastructure projects involving Windows Servers, VMware, Hyper-V, Azure solutions, and SharePoint migrations.
• Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and deliver tailored IT solutions that align with their goals.
• System Monitoring & Maintenance: Proactively monitor and manage systems and networks to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Server Migrations: Execute seamless server migrations while minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity.
• Cloud Solutions: Design and deploy Microsoft Azure environments, including migration strategies and optimization.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers during project execution and act as a subject matter expert for advanced troubleshooting.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation for all technical processes, configurations, and project deliverables.
• Pre-Sales Support: Provide technical expertise during client consultations to support proposals and solution design.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years in IT infrastructure roles within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
• Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Windows Servers, Active Directory, VMware/Hyper-V virtualization technologies, Microsoft Azure solutions, SharePoint migrations, and network configurations (routing/switching/firewall setups).
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft MCSE/MCITP, VMware VCP, CompTIA Network+, or Cisco CCNP are highly preferred.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues efficiently in high-pressure environments.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Project Management: Experience managing medium-to-large-scale IT projects from planning to completion; PMP certification is a plus.
